The Community Transformation and Empowerment Organization is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, an initiative of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, The Throne room parish, Transcorp Hilton Abuja. CTEO is designed to implement scientific interventions within local/International guidelines and best practice with focus on impacting communities to become resilient and empowered to live healthier, productive and more sustainable lives.

01. PROGRAM OFFICER

The Program Officer will report to the Program Director and work on all CTEO initiatives to provide oversight, coordination, monitoring and reporting of all CTEO initiatives.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Facilitate the implementation of CTEO work plans and budget, grant procedures and requirements, periodic fund requests, review of monthly financial reports, and reporting.
2. Ensure the implementation of systems for initiation, implementation, monitoring, reporting of all CTEO projects.
3. Facilitate all CTEO advocacy, community mobilisation and stakeholders’ engagement initiatives
4. Ensures CTEO delivers on all its promises to donors and other stakeholders (achieve set targets, deliver quality services) and enforce compliance with donor and CTEO policies and procedures
5. Ensure quality assurance exercise is conducted on all CTEO program initiatives
6. Ensure appropriate monitoring of program activities to achieve financial, administrative, and programmatic goals.
7. Assist in guiding and supporting the program team in establishing sound management systems to ensure cohesive implementation of project activities.
8. Participate and coordinate capacity development efforts (Trainings, Mentoring and Supportive supervision) for staff and volunteers working with CTEO.
9. Manage communications and public relation for CTEO
10. Facilitate collaborative meetings with International, government and local institutions for CTEO expansion and growth initiatives
11. Oversee and ensure monitoring and evaluation of all CTEO program activities using required data management tools
12. Seek for collaborative opportunities, funding and ensure availability of resources for CTEO initiatives
13. Respond to inquiries from nonprofit organizations and private sector regarding the CTEO grants and programs
14. Ensure availability of technical resources and integrate their efforts into overall program management.
15. Liaise with multiple stakeholders and collaborators to share information, coordinate activities and avoid duplication in the implementation of the programs.
16. Remain informed on the current programs in the development field by review of current literature and is alert to any implication of such strategic information for project activities.
17. Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Extensive knowledge of multi-sectorial development programming in a developing country. 2. Basic project and financial management skills. 3. Working knowledge of major donor policies (USAID, Global Fund, Bill and Melinda gates, UN agencies) as well as international not-for- profit organizations. 4. Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding development programs. 5. Excellent community mobilization, advocacy and interpersonal skills. 6. Work independently with initiative to manage high volume work flow. 7. Ability to plan and prioritize own work under tight deadlines, as well as to work on own initiative and as a member of a team. 8. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; proven ability to be flexible in a team oriented approach with diverse groups of people 9. Perform detail-oriented work with a high level of accuracy. 10. Interact with diplomacy and tact and follow-up on requests in timely and efficient manner. 11. Use a computer to accurately and rapidly enter and retrieve data and information. 12. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with ability to work as a team member. 13. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

1. BS/BA in public health, business administration, health sciences, behavioral sciences or its recognized equivalent with 2-5 years of relevant experience with local and international development programs.
2. MS/MA degree in public health, business administration, health sciences, behavioral sciences or its recognized equivalent is an added advantage
3. Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is required.

02. PROGRAM, M&E ASSISTANT

Under the direction of the Program director and supervision of the Program Officer, the Program Assistant will be responsible for the planning, implementation, documentation of all CTEO initiatives as well as provide administrative and logistical support services to CTEO:

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in data management of all CTEO initiatives, maintains CTEO database, analyze and ensure use of required data capturing tool
• Collect and analyze post-training, pre- and post-activity data and feedback to assess the effectiveness of the program
• Conduct field data collection, analysis and reporting to drive decision making process
• Document the best practices of capacity building exercise, lessons learnt and impact assessment
• Participate in all CTEO quality assurance activities and documentation
• Assist in identifying, analyzing and disseminating best practices in the project through the identification of project learning sites and technical support to the program.
• Assist in the documentation of CTEO weekly reports and activity report for all CTEO activities
• Ensures adequate electronic and hard copy filling system for all CTEO initiatives
• Assists the maintenance of an efficient records, filling and documentation of all CTEO initiatives.
• Records minutes of meetings and circulates to target audience.
• Assists with production of presentation materials for CTEO.
• Remain informed on the current programs in the development field by review of current literature and is alert to any implication of such strategic information for project activities.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

03. FINANCE AND ADMIN ASSISTANT

With the direction of the Program director and supervision of the Program Officer, the finance and admin Assistant will be responsible for the provision of administrative and logistical support services to CTEO.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare monthly budgets and process activity request for approvals
• Assists in arranging travel logistics for office staff, consultants and training participants including hotel reservations and where required, arranging airport and hotel pick-ups.
• Handles all photocopying assignments, development and printing of project documents, photographs including reproduction of recorded videotapes for the CTEO office.
• Ensures adequate electronic and hard copy filling system for all CTEO initiatives
• Assists CTEO with the provision of logistic support for workshops and trainings and community interventions.
• Assists the maintenance of an efficient records/storage of all office and project supplies.
• Serves as point of contact for logistical and administrative needs in the office.
• Coordinates all administrative and secretarial support services for the CTEO (as relevant).
• Records minutes of meetings and circulates to target audience.
• Act as a receptionist: answers the telephones in an appropriate, clear and friendly manner, takes and relays messages or forwards calls, greets and directs office visitors, receives/sends correspondence, keeps fax log and any correspondence.
• Perform office equipment tasks such as making needed arrangement for services for telephone and e-mail, obtaining quotations for required services, arranging for repairs of office equipment.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.

04. PROJECT MATRON

With the direction of the Program director and supervision of the Program Officer, the Projects Matron will be responsible for the provision of welfare, health and operational support services to CTEO IDP project.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Welfare duties
• To prioritize the safeguarding, welfare and health and safety of house residents above all other duties and be familiar with statutory safeguarding policy.
• To ensure that house rules are followed.
• Provide relevant counselling and care to house resident
• To monitor behaviors and where this is unacceptable communicate with the Program officer
• To monitor guests to the residence, ensure detailed guest register is documented
• Assist all relevant staff in the event of an investigation into a breach of safeguarding, welfare, protection or health and safety statutory rules. Operational duties
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the house – making sure home dwellers clean up appropriately.
• Make sure the kitchen and store are supplied as necessary.
• Facilitate training routine for house agent
• Maintain daily time schedule for training and practical sessions
• Keep the exterior and interior of the building clean and tidy with the aid of the cleaning staff and complete weekly room checks.
• Reporting any damage or required maintenance in the weekly report. Health & Safety
• Comply with all health and safety procedures as required by the home.
• Be required to carry out such reasonable additional duties as may be required
• Provide necessary first aid and relevant psychosocial support to residence
• Refer cases to medical team, when beyond her care
• Administer treatment regime as required
